Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
Under the direction of the vivacious conductor Jean-Luc Tingaud, the Orchestra will perform a selection of classics from some of the great composers. These include the Overture to Mozart’s The Magic Flute opera and Tchaikovsky’s Polonaise from Eugene Onegin .
Joining the Orchestra for the fiendish Bruch Violin Concerto will be the spectacular violinist Jennifer Pike. The epitome of Romanticism this piece opens with an impassioned flourish for the solo violin and continues with a dramatic theme.
Closing the concert will be Beethoven’s stirring Symphony No.7; a wonderful blend of orchestral gravitas and swelling tunes which is recognisable from the film The King’s Speech.
