The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) welcomes the Chancellor’s announcement that the higher rate of Orchestra Tax Relief will become permanent.

The RPO is delighted that Jeremy Hunt has recognised the tangible value that British orchestras and live music play in enriching society and supporting economic growth. This commitment will enable the RPO to continue in its mission to broaden access to great orchestral music by investing in its performances across the UK, and by developing innovative concert formats and community and education programmes.
