On 29 October 2023, we were thrilled to welcome a group to our Icons Rediscovered: Elgar’s Symphony No.1 concert at the Southbank Centre with Vasily Petrenko. They were taking part in Creative Playground Crawley’s ‘Come With Us’ project - an initiative which encourages Crawley locals to "experience new things" by joining the Creative Playground staff in attending shows, exhibitions and creative events in Crawley, Brighton, London and other places in Sussex and Surrey.

On this particular outing, the group were taken on a backstage tour of the Royal Festival Hall, where they had the chance to meet some of the RPO players before enjoying the night's performance.
