From 26 November, 4pm on our  YouTube channel you can watch the exclusive online premiere of this performance, and enjoy the luscious sounds of a full string orchestra performing Tchaikovsky’s ever-popular piece – a work inspired by Mozart, and described by the composer as written ‘from the heart’.

Despite the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s (RPO) 11 November 'Spotlight on Strings' concert at Cadogan Hall being cancelled due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions, players from the Orchestra’s strings section were delighted to perform Tchaikovsky’s timeless Serenade for Strings 'behind closed doors' on the day, which was recorded for you to enjoy in the safety and comfort of your own home!

We are also thrilled to announce that the RPO’s socially distanced Spotlight Series of 75-minute concerts (with no interval) will return in 2021, starting on Thursday 14 January, 1.15pm! Do look out for further news and announcements about these events and how to book – we very much hope to see you there.
