Brent Music Academy (BMA) is an exciting new charitable organisation providing accelerated music, performance and industry opportunities coupled with pastoral and financial support to eliminate barriers to the music industry for young people from diverse backgrounds in the London borough of Brent and NW London. Following successful registration as an independent charity (charity number 1204014), Brent Music Academy trustees are pleased to be seeking applications for the post of Director for this exciting new initiative.

The Brent Music Academy Director will be the first administrative staff member of the new charity and will be critical in establishing the structures and ethos for the organisation's future. This role will include developing a fit-for-purpose curriculum, designing procedures to monitor quality and student progression, and, in the initial stages, providing creative, group-based tuition in musicianship and related skills for able young musicians from across genres and styles. Also responsible for recruiting and training additional staff and professional tutors from across the various roles of the industry, the post holder will play a key part in driving the Academy culture, placing inclusion and excellence at the heart of everything the Academy works to achieve. Candidates from backgrounds currently underrepresented in the industry are particularly encouraged to apply.
