WHO’S ON STAGE
Back by popular demand, legendary conductor Hilary Davan Wetton leads the charge in this special V-Day commemorative concert. Joining him on stage is award winning mezzo soprano Marta Fontanals-Simmons, praised for her “warm mezzo” (The Telegraph) and “velvet-voice” (Daily Telegraph).

WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect a grand tour of the best of European orchestral music! Among the iconic works is the famous overture to Rossini’s William Tell, which is instantly recognisable for its galloping pace and signature chest-bursting brass. The concert concludes with Tchaikovsky’s last word on romance, his glorious Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture which makes full use of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s sweeping string section.
