Principal Piccolo

Diomedes was born in Cyprus and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, Germany.

Before joining the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022, he held the Principal Piccolo post at the Ulster Orchestra. As a freelancer, he has performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Gothenburg Opera, London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, among others.

He has recently been appointed a piccolo teacher at the Royal Academy of Music, London.
