Second Violin

Scottish-born violinist Jennifer Christie graduated from the Royal College of Music (RCM) with a BMus (Hons) & PG Dip Advanced. She won various prizes at the RCM, namely the Yehudi Menuhin Scholarship, Joseph Bloch LRAM Prize for Strings and RCM Cecil Aronowitz Prize.

Graduating with Joint Principal Study in both violin and viola, Jennifer actively freelanced with all the major London orchestras before winning her current position of No.4 Second Violin at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jennifer also teaches privately, hosting concerts to showcase her talented young students, performing alongside professional players.

In her spare time, Jennifer is a marathoner, holding five out of six ‘World Marathon Majors’ under her belt! Tokyo is the final race on her list to complete this coveted award.

Jennifer gratefully acknowledges the support of her Chair Partner, Lou Whitehorn.
