Second Violin

Sali-Wyn Ryan has been a violinist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for over ten years. After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Sali freelanced for several years, working with many orchestras, opera companies, chamber ensembles, touring theatre companies and on board cruise ships.

Alongside her career as a violinist, for sixteen years Sali was a part-time Music Producer for Classic FM. In this role she also assisted in creating events for several organisations, including collaborations with Sky Arts, Mazda, Airbnb, Great Western Railways and Battersea Dogs Home! In 2016, Sali founded her own small events company, Classical PopUps. Specialising in unusual line-ups and original musical arrangements, the events bring together musicians alongside collaborative artists, such as poets, painters, samba bands, cocktail makers and dancers.

Sali participates regularly in the RPO’s community and education programme, RPO Resound, working in a great variety of settings, including schools, prisons, care homes and as part of the pioneering stroke rehabilitation programme, STROKESTRA®.

In her spare time, Sali can be found pottering amongst the pots on her balcony, or escaping to the beautiful beaches of her homeland in South Wales.

Sali-Wyn is a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Board of Directors.

Sali-Wyn gratefully acknowledges the support of her Chair Partners, Adam and Jane Warby.
