The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London-based opera company Opera Rara reunite for a concert performance of Ruggero Leoncavallo’s rarely performed Zingari. Based on Pushkin’s poem The Gypsies, the opera presents a tale of passion, jealousy and the tumultuous throes of unrequited love.

Led by Opera Rara’s Artistic Director Carlo Rizzi, don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear international operatic stars, including Stephen Gaertner and Krassimira Stoyanova, singing in a lesser-known jewel from the rich canon of Italian verismo opera, live on stage at Cadogan Hall.

This concert is a co-production with Opera Rara.

Unfortunately, due to illness, Carlos Álvarez is no longer able to perform the role of Tamar in this performance of Zingari. Opera Rara and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are grateful to Stephen Gaertner for stepping in to perform this role.

The safety of our audiences is of paramount importance. Government guidelines and safety measures are followed at all the venues in which the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performs to ensure that you are able to enjoy the performance in a safe, comfortable environment.
