Pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason first rose to prominence as one of her family’s seven remarkable musical siblings and has since forged a hugely successful solo career. She has long championed the music of Clara Schumann, most prominently in her much-admired 2019 disc devoted to the composer’s music.
Russian-born conductor Vasily Petrenko and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra close with the unstoppable rhythms of Beethoven’s joyful Seventh Symphony. Born in Russia, but now calling the UK home, Vasily Petrenko put the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra firmly on the map during his 15 years as Chief Conductor.
