Our Relaxed Performances are inclusive, fun and accessible for all. Whether you have a child with additional needs, a wiggly toddler, a loved one with dementia, or simply want a wonderfully relaxed concert experience – this is your musical celebration. Our brilliant presenter and incredible musicians come together to create a concert where you can move, sing, dance or sit quietly, exactly as you wish. No shushing. No stress. Just inspiring orchestral music that welcomes every single person exactly as they are.

The relaxed format is designed to encourage audiences of all kinds to enjoy the performance. Before the concert, an optional sensory introduction will take place, where audiences can familiarise themselves with the venue and the sounds of the Orchestra. During the concert, ‘chill out’ spaces will be available for anyone who may need some quiet time before re-entering the auditorium. At the end of the concert, audiences will be invited to take part in optional interactive musical activities led by the RPO musicians themselves.
