The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra returns to The Hawth for an inspirational evening of classics. Guided by guest conductor Adam Hickox and joined by rising star Hana Chang on Violin, it promises to be a stunning program, opening with the genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s irrepressible overture to his comic opera The Marriage of Figaro. It’s followed by Tchaikovsky’s ferocious Violin Concerto, a timeless piece which gives both soloist and orchestra alike a chance to shine, from the expressive and passionate opening through to its spirited, dance-like finale.

And if that wasn’t enough drama for one night, Dvořák’s stirring Seventh Symphony brings the evening to a dynamic close. Often considered his most personal work, it captures a more intimate side to the famous Czech composer with its pounding emotion and stormy, tense atmosphere.

'Nominated as one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars of 2024 for her ‘Impeccable, authentic, and gracious' playing, Hana Chang's focus is at all times on the substance of the music.’ Young Classical Artist Trust, 2023
