Classic FM Live returns to the Royal Albert Hall in April 2022 for a world-class concert, featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and star trumpeter Alison Balsom.
The concert will be a celebration of music composed for royalty, performed by artists with historic ties to the British royal family. Alison Balsom will perform Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto in E flat, as well as the world premiere of a new piece by Classic FM’s Composer in Residence, Debbie Wiseman, commissioned by Classic FM to commemorate Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be joined on stage by the Royal Choral Society, under the baton of British conductor Barry Wordsworth.
The concert, hosted by Classic FM presenters Alexander Armstrong and Margherita Taylor, will also feature an unmissable lights-and-fireworks finale to the sound of Tchaikovsky’s mighty 1812 Overture.
