The Royal Albert Hall Education and Outreach department presents a special schools’ matinee performance of Holst’s iconic masterpiece.
Gaze in wonder as NASA images and films are projected onto a 24-foot screen whilst the world-famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performs Holst’s awe-inspiring suite, The Planets. The exciting multi-sensory event additionally includes music such as the Opening to Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra (featured in 2001: A Space Odyssey) and Adams’ Short Ride in a Fast Machine – one of the BBC’s 'Ten Pieces', aiming to introduce classical music to children.
