Description

The globally-renowned composer conducts his own music

Joe Hisaishi is a living legend. His soundtracks for the prize-winning films of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki set the hearts of generations around the world racing. With over 100 scores and countless awards, he has written film music history and, at the same time, secured a firm place in the contemporary music world as a composer, conductor and pianist with his symphonic works.

In Autumn 2026, Joe Hisaishi finally returns to Europe in the World Dream Tour with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, for which he is the Composer-in-Association. As a conductor and soloist on the piano, the Japanese grand seigneur brings his new suite of the Oscar-winning Studio Ghibli film The Boy and the Heron, as well as the European premiere of his newly-composed Concerto for Orchestra.
