Join a quintet of players from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of chamber music delights.
The concert begins with Schubert's emotive String Quartet No.12, 'Quartettsatz', followed by the powerful String Quartet No.1 in C major by Shostakovich. The romantic Salut d'Amour and Chanson de Matin by Elgar provide a melodic interlude.
The highlight is Mozart's revered Clarinet Quintet in A major, featuring the extraordinary clarinet skills of RPO Principal Clarinet Katherine Lacy, and showcases Mozart's gift for sublime melodies and ensemble writing.
