Join musicians and RESOUND project leaders from Reading Arts' Resident Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, for creative sessions to create junk musical instruments.
On the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle theme, make use of every-day objects, many of which would otherwise end up in the rubbish or recycling bin, and build your own instruments.
45-minutes workshops take place in The Victoria Hall, in Reading Town Hall:
10.30am
11.30am
12.30pm
Then bring your instrument along to a Junk Samba Band session in The Concert Hall at 2.15pm, alongside Luke Jerram's GAIA installation and make some noise to celebrate our amazing earth, before joining Reading Climate Festival's Parade through Reading Town Centre.
Suitable for families of children aged 5-12 years. All children must be accompanied and supervised at all times.
