The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra presents an evening of music from some of the most-popular Russian composers in a programme that will thrill, delight and transport you to the great Slavic plains.

From Russia with Love opens with Borodin’s commanding Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor, followed by one of the Romantic period's greatest works, Rachmaninov’s tantalising and inventive Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, brought to life by extraordinary pianist Danny Driver.

Stormy percussion and eerie strings create the ominous atmosphere of Mussorgsky’s A Night on the Bare Mountain (recognisable from Disney’s Fantasia) before Rimsky-Korsakov’s joyous Spanish folk tunes, Khachaturian’s soaring Adagio and Tchaikovsky’s explosive 1812 Overture provide a glorious conclusion.
