The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s exceptional brass and percussion sections are sure to astound in an exuberant, brasstastic programme featuring the world premiere of Quarks – a vibrant new work written by Allen Vizzutti.

Having appeared in performances with some of the greatest names in the music industry, including Dizzy Gillespie and Chick Corea, Vizzutti returns to Cadogan Hall for his second collaboration with the RPO in two years, joining them in the premiere of his own work.

Another premiere features in Top Brass 2015: the RPO’s brass and percussion sections perform the UK premiere of the new version of Edward Gregson’s Symphony in two movements, orchestrated for symphonic brass following a performance of the original brass band version in the USA last year.

Also featured are brass favourites, including O.B.1 Fanfare, Motown Metal, Fanfares Liturgiques and J.S. Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.
