Come and join musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) for a series of exciting summer music workshops.

Based in the borough of Newham, the Sing for Peace 2015 project will consist of three intensive days of creative music-making where you can work alongside professional orchestral musicians from the RPO to create your own group compositions, which will then be performed in a concert at Stratford Circus to celebrate International Peace Day on Saturday 19 September.

You will be guided by industry-leading creative leader Paul Griffiths in creating new music based around the theme of peace and reconciliation on a local, national and international scale.

The workshops are free of charge and are open to all young musicians aged 8–18 years. We are looking for singers, MCs, DJs and instrumentalists of all abilities and from all musical backgrounds – including those who have never sung or played an instrument before.
