The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra returns to Chesterfield to perform a sparkling concert of quintessentially English music from Elgar, Haydn and others. This concert features performances of Handel’s Water Music which has been associated with the British Monarchy since 1717.
Few composers have evoked the English countryside more distinctly than Vaughan Williams and this evening you’ll be able to hear his exquisitely Pastoral The Lark Ascending which was Classic FM’s Hall of Fame 2015 winner.
This concert is presented in partnership with Orchestras Live and Chesterfield Borough Council.
