Principal Viola

Abigail Fenna studied with Garfield Jackson at the Royal Academy of Music, and with the generous support of the Leverhulme Trust, she was later able to join the class of Nobuko Imai at the Conservatoire de musique de Genève. Abigail has been a guest Leader with many of the UK’s orchestras, as well as others throughout Europe.

Alongside being Principal Viola of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, she has also performed as a soloist with the Orchestra on several occasions and recently recorded Vaughan Williams' Romance for the Resonus Classics label as part of the composer's 150th Anniversary celebrations.

As a chamber musician, Abigail has given concerts across Europe, the USA and Japan, and has performed at major venues in London, such as St John's Smith Square, Cadogan Hall and the Wigmore Hall, as well as at the Salle Gaveau in Paris.
