About Martin Owens

Co-Principal Percussion

Martin Owens was born in Mansfield and went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music from 1984–1988, joining the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's Percussion soon after in 1991. Martin is an active member of the Orchestra's community and education team, RPO Resound.

When not performing, Martin enjoys following most sports, with cricket and rugby union being among his favourites.
