About Martin Ludenbach
Double Bass
Having started the bass aged 10 in North Wales, Martin Ludenbach continued his studies at Guildhall under Kevin Rundell and Tim Gibbs. During this time he began to play freelance, working with the John Wilson Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Shakespeare Company.
In his varied career, he has since played with the London Philharmonic, Philharmonia and Aurora orchestras, been the guest Principal Bass at Manchester Camerata and the London Mozart Players, performed chamber music with Berkeley Ensemble and Ensemble Cymru, toured the UK in Les Misérables, and was an actor-musician in Charing Cross Theatre's Ragtime.
If you can't find him behind a bass, then he’ll be converting his next van, surfing, or climbing a mountain.
