Second Violin

Inês Soares Delgado is a Portuguese violinist and a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's Second Violin section since 2025. 

A graduate of the Royal College of Music, she has a varied career spanning orchestral and chamber ensembles, as well as leading workshops. 

Inês performs with orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra and English National Opera, and is a guest Principal Second Violin with the Ulster Orchestra. A chamber music enthusiast, she was a member of the award-winning Salomé Quartet. 

Passionate about mindfulness and music’s role in wellbeing, she co-founded the violin and piano duo Eunoia, and leads creative workshops in education, mental health, and care settings.
