Principal Trombone

Alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Matthew Gee is Principal Trombone with the Aurora Orchestra, the brass septet Septura and is on the teaching faculty at the Royal Academy of Music, London. 

Matthew has performed extensively across the world, with ensembles such as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Klangforum Wein and Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and has recorded many film and television scores.

As a soloist, he has released four solo albums, containing works written specially for him, the last two on the Naxos label. He has performed and taken masterclasses in international festivals, including those in Melbourne, Wellington, New York, Sarajevo, Lieksa (Finland), Isla Verde (Argentina) and Beijing.

Matthew is a Getzen artist.
