Rachel van der Tang is originally from Guernsey and started learning the cello at the age of twelve. She studied at Chetham’s School of Music, the Royal Academy of Music, and also in Vienna.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in her garden and has a particular passion for growing flowers.
