Unforgettable concerts every year
As the Associate Orchestra of the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) has enjoyed a long and celebrated history performing at this iconic venue. Since it was established in 1946 by Sir Thomas Beecham, the RPO has become one of the most respected ensembles in the UK, frequently returning to the Royal Albert Hall to present its most ambitious and diverse programmes.
In our 2025–26 Season, Petrenko will conduct three of Mahler’s most epic symphonies, alongside music by Bernstein, Puccini and Korngold. We also performed music from the legendary rock band, Queen, seminal songs and soundtracks from the James Bond films, and you can hear a sull symphony orchestra perform the iconic music from your favourite action and adventure films.
In 2026–27, we mark the RPO’s 80th anniversary with a season that reflects both our remarkable heritage and our bold artistic future. This milestone year brings together some of the most ambitious, wide-ranging and imaginative programmes in the Orchestra’s history, celebrating eight decades of musical excellence while continuing to push creative boundaries.
From film and video game music, Broadway and soul classics, Joe Hisaishi conducting live, The Moonwalkers: Live in Concert, and symphonic epics led by RPO Music Director Vasily Petrenko, our 2026–27 season at the Royal Albert Hall promises unforgettable experiences on a truly monumental scale.
