Music and Neuroscience

The concert on 3rd June at Cadogan Hall is dedicated to a scientific project entitled ‘Music and Neuroscience’, which aims to develop and deepen understanding of the relationship between the themes of music production and science. The research has been facilitated by a series of concerts, among them the 3rd June concert with Alessandro Fabrizi, Dimitri Maslennikov and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Pass the Torch - A World Symphony

With the help of RPO resound (the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s community and education programme), six youth ensembles from Brent, Enfield and Haringey, along with a 3,500 strong choir of children from local primary schools, were given the chance to perform alongside professional musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at one of London’s most iconic venues, the Royal Albert Hall. The specially-formed orchestra played an original piece composed by participants from all six musical ensembles, led by James Redwood and conductor Nicholas Collon.
Eighth year of residency at Lowestoft's Marina Theatre

The world-famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) has announced that it is to extend its prestigious residency at Lowestoft's Marina Theatre into 2012 supporting the Theatre’s new Trust as it prepares to take on the running of the Edwardian venue.
