Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Following the tribute to the British Big Bands in April, the BBC Big Band will take you across the pond to present an evening of American Big Band Classics with a nostalgic tribute to some of the United States' greatest jazz musicians, including Tommy Dorsey, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

The BBC Big Band will be joined by special guest vocalist, the internationally acclaimed Jeff Hooper, who has worked with many of the great American Big Band legends such as Mel Tormé and Wynton Marsalis. Together with Jeff’s unquestionable talent and emotive style, this musical combination promises to truly recreate the great American swing band era.
