Our year of Behind the Lines activities culminates with a four day Creative Summer School in August 2014, celebrating the music and composers of World War One with a grand finale performance by participants alongside musicians from the Orchestra at St John Smith’s Square.
It will be supported by a team of four musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and two professional RPO workshop leaders.
Who can take part: The Summer School is open to aspiring young musicians (open to any level of musical ability) from across the boroughs of RBKC and Westminster, from Years 6 to Year 11.
Cost: Participation in the Summer School is free of charge, but full commitment will be required by those wishing to enroll through formal registration forms.
Dates: The Summer School will take place over four days, from Monday 4 to Thursday 7 August 2014, from 10.00-17.00 each day.
Venue: The project will take place at Pimlico Academy (SW1V 3AT), but the first morning will involve an introductory session at the Westminster Music Library. The culmination performance will take place at St John Smith’s Square.
