Since releasing her two début albums last year, twenty-five-year-old Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth has taken the classical music world by storm with her 'soulful, brooding Nordic approach' (Gramophone). Her first appearance at the Welsh Proms includes Haydn's gracious Trumpet Concerto and tracks from her new album, Storyteller. Other treats include one of J Strauss II's most majestic waltzes and the superhuman conflict and joy of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
