ELGAR Pomp and Circumstance March No.1

This concert is full of pomp and circumstance and is conducted by Owain Arwel Hughes, who has become a popular personality with Fairfield Halls audiences over the years. Joined by soprano Elena Xanthoudakis, who has recently sung at the Royal Opera House, and acclaimed pianist Danny Driver, this evening includes an array of beautiful and familiar music from J Strauss II, Léhar, Tchaikovsky and Rossini to the flag-waving music of Elgar, Parry and Henry Wood.
