The Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition is the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the Hastings Musical Festival. A new addition for 2013, Piano Week includes First Stage Preliminary Concerto performances, Semi-Final Recitals Stage, Masterclass for semi-finalists at the new Recital Room at Fairlight Hall and tonight's Final, where the three finalists of the play their chosen concertos with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

This year's Concerto Competition has had entries from all over the world and the class of competitor is astounding. These young (16-30 year old) virtuoso pianists are the concert pianists of the future and the competition provides them with a fantastic platform for their talent to be heard and the opportunity to play with an internationally recognised orchestra.
